A vehicle will not sell itself. You can put the vehicle in front of your house with a for sale sign and your phone number on it, but in many cases this will have little chance of success. Easily sell your car, motor, caravan or motorhome through a sales platform and all the work will be done for you.
All you have to do then is register based on the license plate (or the model if you have a caravan without a license plate) and take good photos. These photos are indispensable. Below are all the examples for taking good photos of a car. For this we used our own Looping car and yes we also clearly show the damage to the rim.
Of course, these tips also apply (if relevant) to other vehicles!
The supply of used cars is enormous. No doubt there will be dozens to hundreds of people who want to sell the same car as you, in some cases even down to the year, trim and color. Therefore, photos should not be missing. Not only does this give you a clear picture of your car, you can really make a difference.
While applying to sell your car, you already provide information and details about the car, but a step that is at least as important, providing good pictures. This way we and the dealers in our network get a good picture of your car. As we described, there are numerous cars that are similar and so taking pictures is an important step.
You only make a first impression once and this is hugely important. So make sure you have good pictures of your car. You can take a few snapshots, but that can give a messy impression. And a messy impression means that you might actually get less money for your car.
Get a good camera (most modern smartphones, are excellent) and take some time. Perhaps somewhat obvious, but don't photograph a dirty car, but rather a clean one. Still a dirty car? Make sure you clean it properly.
Do not suffice with one or two photos, but give as comprehensive an impression of the car as possible. Therefore, take pictures of the front and rear and bring the side views of the car well into focus.

Make sureyour entire car is on it. A photo angled from the front and back is also incredibly helpful, as we can then see exactly what your car looks like from that angle in one photo.
A car (motorcycle, caravan or motorhome) is an object of use, we understand that all too well at Looping! It's easy to hit a curb or get that shopping cart in the side, right? Make sure you really take the time to take pictures of any damage that can be found.
That way we never have any surprises together!
Damaged rims
A scratch in the paint
A damage on the bumper
The inside of the car is just as important as the outside. Therefore, make sure you take good pictures of your interior. In doing so, really give an impression of the condition of the inside. How is the seat upholstery? Are there any damages on or in the upholstery or any stains!
Really make sure you give a good and also correct impression of the space. What does the dashboard look like? Are knobs worn off from frequent use or are they still in perfect condition?
The interior is important, show what the dashboard, steering wheel, transmission and upholstery looks like.
Take pictures of any damage
All sides of the car and the inside, yes, that means also the trunk. This space is important to many people. So make sure it is included in the photos you take. The trunk should be empty, neat and clean. Personal items can be taken out, items that belong to the car (spare tire, warning triangle, tire repair kit) may of course remain.
Legally, you are required to drive around with tires that have at least 1.6 mm of tread. A car with bad tires will no longer pass the MOT, but you can still sell it. Still, we would like to know the condition of your tires. Are they damaged or have too little profile? Then the dealer will have to replace the tires before he can resell your car.
The other way around is of course also possible, if you have just replaced your tires for brand new summer, winter or all-season tires it is conducive to a quick sale. With a side-view photo we can see the tires, but we also like to see a close-up photo so that we have a good picture of the condition of the tires.
Are you going to photograph the car during a sunny day? Then make sure you have the sun or light, in the back. If necessary, turn the car around so that the light is always in the back. Photographing against the light does not work well and produces an overexposed image.
It's about the car, not the things around it. When taking photos, always make sure your focus is on the car. People in the background or busy surroundings, can be distracting. Rather, put the car in a quiet place, such as a parking lot, a field or a natural area.
If there are things that make your car unique, put them in the photo. Consider, for example, special upholstery, unique sport rims or new tires. Do you have the service book, key and spare key, a NAP report and possibly a recent repair invoice. Feel free to include these as well. This will give us a complete and reliable picture. We can offer the car with complete and clear information in our specialist network. In addition, we give you some do's and don'ts for taking good pictures.
